Wisdom or make sure to read the label!

I am told that wisdom is something you gain as you grow, from listening and knowledge.  I have gathered many stories, legends, and tales from many people and places but this one by far takes the cake.

As told by a now very wise one!!

"A friend of mine woke up with an ear-ache and I being versed in the way of traditional medicine decided I would first try some wax remover before applying ancestrial medicine.  I went to the medicine cabinet and found the bottle, without my reading glasses I could make out the 'W and remover'.  I proceded to pour the wax remover into her ear, at that point she started hollering that it was burning, I ran and grabbed the alcohol and poured some of that in there too.  All kinds of dry skin was peeling from her ear.  So I figured I would finish up with a bit of peroxide to clean out the rest.  Since the ear was still stopped up I got some of Granny's home remedy and put a couple of drops in there too.  I got a bit nervous so I dialed 'Poison Control'  the lady on the other end asked how she could help.  I related the story and not only did I have her hollering 'Oh no you didn't' but my friend was hollering too.  When the lady asked what the home remedy was I told her to which she replied 'Oh NO' I told her I just used a couple of drops not the whole cup full.  She told me that what I did would not hurt my friend but to make sure to read the label better.  It was WART REMOVER!!  The Poison Control lady asked me what my name was I politely said I believe I forgot!

Reading Glasses are there for a reason!!
